Max and Bailey. What a fantastic couple. They’re getting married at Stella’s Plantation later this year, and I flew out to San Francisco to shoot their engagement session. It *almost* didn’t happen. Alllll week, the weather had been horrible. It was rainy, windy, nothing that even gave me the slightest hope that we could have even an hour of not being wet to shoot. Forget having sunshine, I was praying not to have a downpour. Seriously, the night before the flight, I was watching the weather wondering how we were going to make this work. But, I’m a weather optimist!!! I get to the airport, my flight was delayed, plans had to change a little bit. I get in a few hours later than I’m supposed to. No big deal. Max and Bailey pull up at arrivals, and we head straight for Point Reyes. Someone was looking out for us that day. The weather was beeeeeautiful! So beautiful that I began to think that all the news of rain and wind had been a big hoax! Because now in my mind, Point Reyes is alllllllways beautiful, and sunny, with perfect sunsets on rolling green hills (that kind of look like Ireland), and patches of fog and mist in just the right places. Basically it turned into a magical afternoon. I’ll shoot in Point Reyes any day!! Can’t wait to see you again at Stella’s!
